May 2010: Basic editing using commandline tools.

We looked at several ways to select a small fragment from a clip using the -ss and -endpos options in mencdoer and workd with small scripts to grab clips and output a film.

Several other handy tricks (making a pdf from aman page ...) were discussed.

Remarks on the day:

Time mangement was bad, the group was small and everybody came in at differentties which weant that it was very difficult to focus. Not to be repeated. It was the first meeting and we forgot to seriously look at each others work, this is necessary for the next meeting.
